Hi all. Rather than bumping an old thread I thought that I'd just start a new one. Sorry if this isn't normal practice. I've got almost all the issues fixed on my car, and I'm a bit torn if I should mod it or not. I'm thinking about doing a JWT pop charger + SZ downpipes, high-flow cats, and cat-back. What type of gains would I be looking with these mods? Would I be getting full gains without an ECU upgrade? Are there any downsides? Really not sure, part of me says go for it, the other says just keep the car stock. Talked to a few people that said it was worthwhile, but I was wondering from people who actually own the car and have done it. Thanks.

Also, how much louder would the car be over stock? I don't mind a bit louder, but I certainly don't want it to sound like some ricer Civic. I'd much rather a quiet fast car, but that's just me.

The Pop Charger should be a standard in my opinion.
As for the noise, it depends on the exhaust but it shouldn't be obnoxiously loud.
Turbo cars in general will be quieter as the turbo itself acts as sort of a muffler.

Also if you haven't already, make sure you read this sticky particularly the section titled: Destroying the World in Your Z32: Tuning Tips about 2/3 down the page.

I have read the thread, I suppose I was just wondering if an ECU upgrade is a prerequisite for downpipes/high-flow cats. I plan on doing resonated mid-pipes if I do it anyways to help cut down on noise. I just hate when you hear some insanely loud car driving by you at 15mph.
