So for whatever reason, consult is unable to open on my laptop. It will on my desktop, but on my laptop I get a Reader registry error, same with my friends. They are both brand new. Is there another program that does the more advanced procedures like fuel injector monitoring for free out there?

I'm in the same boat. One of our Moderators had one, but I DL'ed it and couldn't get it to work either. :(

Try ecu talk. I've had more success with it and and you can data log. Also are you using a db9 adapter with the laptop? Ive had issues with cheap adapters as well. I'm pretty sure there isn't a full version of conzult out there unless someone wants to share there password. (if that's even possible)

I have a simple obd2 scanner I can use in my car. But I wanted the more involved tests and what not like injector monitoring, idle adjustment and run tests. Conzult has a few available in the free version. ECUtalk is just a simple datalogger fault reader. I found a thread a while back that had a number of programs on it, but each of those had their roadblocks as well. Some I couldn't get to download etc.

Obd2 won't work on your car, its a completely different protocol. Also, the free version of conzult I've gotton to work a few times and any adjustments you make to idle can only be done while connected. Both can monitor injector duty cycle timing etc. is recommend purchasing there full version. They have tech suport and everything for the version that is paid for. (I think there free version is designed to glitch so you buy the legit version)
