At least it'll be a quality paint job, unlike the micro thin Nissan paint.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:Let me put it to you this way, entirely painting a brand new car will be extremely costly.

Does anyone else have stripes/artwork on the sides of their a/c? I've always wanted 2 do that but have some anxiety that A) attracts cops and B) attracts 2 much attention, including people who like to steal car stuff. What's ur experience been?Italianbulldog85 wrote:
sometimes my car looks bright @$$ blue and sometimes it looks darker. I love it. I think its the best color available for it. But I guess im partial haha
My experience has been that stripes/ artwork on cars went out with the fast and the furious fad...pcpower wrote:

thx
Geesus! I didn't know it was THAT expensive. The stock blue I see in pictures is better than the in-person color. Maybe it was just the one I saw but it looked pretty flat to me. In pics it looks great though. On the weekend I'm going to check out another blue one at a different dealer so I'll get to see if it's really as bad as I thought it was. And what do you mean it changes colors? I saw a blue one in full daylight and it didn't look that great to me... Maybe I should go at a different time of day to check the other blue coupe out at that other dealer.LongBeachCoupe wrote:My nissan tech is a mustang fanatic.. and has a 69 mustang he bought in shambles... he picked up a bunch of new parts (doors, etc) at carlisle ford nationals.. Hes getting the friend price on his metallic blue paintjob... the friend price of $5,000
first, it's MEHDIrjdmmfl1 wrote:Also, sorry meddhi, but the blue on the A/C looks pretty awful , the G35 blue and Lexus Sc 430 blue are much, much, much sexier imo,
Thanks for the tip. I was wondering if buying a certain color would make things easier. It's too much for me right now though. I'm a student who's running on very low funds. I wasn't planning on getting this car until a year or two but I just don't want to wait! lol So yeah, gonna be broke after this but it will be worth it. I'll probably end up getting blue or red.Flypinoy457 wrote:If you are looking to do a full paint job, one way to keep the cost down alittle bit would be go with a black coupe. With this you can keep your engine bay black, which will save you a lot of money.

It would make sense that the blue on infinitys and lexus' are a better (probably more metallic) blue. Now if you compare Nissans blue to Toyotas bright blue or Mitsubishis blue because its the same class of car I would have to say that nissan comes out on top. Especially that bright blue they have on the Lancer... its so bright i think it glows in the darkrjdmmfl1 wrote:

and yes, for a full paint job, they will need to disassemble your entire car, the same way you see them do on pimp my ride... look to spend 5-8K for it to be done correctly and for it to be "better" than the stock paint job
I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. I like the whole look of the car including the black calipers--nice touch on that. BTW, I'm not a dude.hiroprotagonist2005 wrote:dude, Nightsky, what kinda rims are those?
i love those things, they are perfect for the coupe.
