It's kind of a mixed bag IMO, the 300ZX is pretty complicated and has lots of intricacies that they would have to learn about...but it's still a car with a gasoline engine, so the fundamentals are still the same. While their level of craftmanship might be high, they might miss out on some of the details that the guys that only wrench on Z's know about. Ultimately though, its not that hard to become an expert on the subject, I've learned heaps over the last 9 months. I guess it comes down to do you want to be a guinea pig as they learn how to work on the 300ZX, probably make a few honest mistakes that will take some time and money to correct, or do you want to go with a trusted shop that will get it right on the first try.
