So I got a good deal on a fujitsubo cat back and went to install it today. I planned on using all of it but I couldnt use the mid pipes without us redoing my whole set up, so I just put in the axle backs. I didnt expect it to be that quiet by adding only some mufflers but it almost sounds stock IMO. I may have to resort to getting rid of it later down the road bcuz it's a little too quiet for me. Here are some pics and I will post a sound clip later.

^ they said that probly bcuz thats what they tested it on. If I had the oem y pipe it would have bolted on with no problem.

Didn't you have a custom exhaust done? Any plans on selling that one by any chance?

I did have a custom set up and it wouldn't work for anyone really, it was just some 2.5" piping with tips on it.

Lol yeah the birds were not added by me, with my first set up I surprised a lot people on the road when I'd rev it now its just a regular old car cruising along. I'm thinking of maybe getting cut outs or just redoing what I had before bcuz I like the loudness, we'll see.

but after Fujitsubo mufflers its like there is no sound with the exhaust!

but i think the only advantage between them and the stock muffler is saving weight!

Yeah its a a lot quieter now, idk how much the oem mufflers weigh but the fujitsubo one's felt kinda heavy too. I think maybe a little more than megan mufflers, they are def bigger in size. I know atleast for the M35 you gain both hp & tq and would assume the same for an M45, the xhaust is bigger than oem so ud have to gain somethin.

they are heavy, but am sure not heavy as OEM mufflers!!

i think they sound exactly like oem only with larger pipe diameter!

i will install mine once i get my 3" quad tips.

I may attempt this but only if they can make the welds look good.

Mex... those mids are a direct bolt on to the stock rear section, correct? Since 06M4.5  can't find me a complete Megan set, I may snatch these up and piece together a rear section...

It will bolt on to the y pipe but not axle backs without some slight modding. It wouldn't be hard for an exhaust shop to do though. I think if anyone were to buy this mid pipe, just connect it with some piping and no mufflers ending with tips alone and it would sound good.
