I've tried not to start a new thread but my questions were not answered when i just replied in previous thread. So here it goes...

When installing the filter, how far up into the 'down pipe' do you guys put it at? I put mine as far in as possible.

How often do you clean the filter?

is the down pipe supposed to be tightened into the vibration mount or just slip into it? my kit doesn't come with nut and washer for one side.

On a side note, I'd like to let future CAI installer know that it is well worth the time to take the wheel off or bumper off before working on it. I learn it the hard way but i managed to finish it in the end. I just took three tabs off the wheel liner and 3 screws off the bottom of the liner.

On the filter, I put the pipe in up to the top of the filter not all the way in.

On cleaning the filter, Some people do it every 3000 miles like an oil change others less often others more often. You should clean it when it's dirty and depends on what your driving conditions are. If you live on a dirt road you may want to clean it every other month or so.

Now that the intake is fully installed you will want to tighten the down pipe on to the soft mount to keep it stable but flexible.

I didn't take the bumper or wheel off. Just cranked the steering wheel to one side and pulled 6+ tabs off. I also had a friend to help hold parts while I tightened or adjusted.
