Fujita Cold Air Intake

Post

Hey Guys,
I looked on forums before deciding on which car to get, then looked again when I was looking for cold air intake for my 09 Sentra 2.0 Manual, as i image most people do. :yesnod
but ended up in forums where people had no pics of the intakes or where wondering if it would fit or not. :squint:
well... i ordered the Fujita Intake and installed it yesterday morning.

I just wanted to share the pictures with you guys, and let you all know it's not as hard as it looks, i didn't have to remove the bumper as the instructions say. (i first tried removing it but gave up.. lol :lolling: )

Sorry for the dirty car, i washed it 2 days before to perfection but it's winter and here in calgary they use sand instead of salt on the roads, making a mess, also took a short video from my blackberry yesterday night, i'll be uploading that sometime soon, hopefully you can hear the sound, it's actually really really load when wide open.

there was one part that i beleive is the wrong part for the set up of the CAI, it was the hose for the crankcase ventillation.
i ended up improvising for now. can be seen in the full album at photobucket, I can post them on here if you guys want, but i'm new so trying to be conservative.. lol

you can see all the pictures on the photo album (photobucket)

Didn't have to remove the bumper, tried but was not worth it since you can do it without, i just drove the car up some metal ramps that we use for oil changes etc, not very high but enough clearance for me to get under without jacking up the car.

Looks good! Thanks for the post and welcome to NICO!
I have a friend with a Fujita CAI on his Accord v6. It sounds really nice and woke the car up quite a bit. What are your impressions?

haven't gotten to really test it since everywhere seems to be covered in snow, i took it to a different road to test it but i still felt the tires loosing grip at the end of second gear, might have to wait for the roads to clear up a bit, however top end feels more acceleration, low rpms feel the same, if you drive and shift at around 3k rpm you never really hear the difference, but if you open it wide the growling can be heard by other cars pretty good, my co-worker thought i had changed the exhaust.. lol

here is the blackberry video of it (had to shift and hold my bb and turn at the same time, so the beginning of the video is a lil rough, the snow bumps didn't help.. lol)

yeah.. lol, from stepping on snow then in the car.. lol, that's funny
I would have also recorded a pull from 1st gear, but with the current weather conditions there would be no point.. :ohno:

I have a Fujita on my Versa and like it. Did you go with the polished? I can't see the pics at work.

yeah I went with the polished, and now that's i've been driving for a little longer, giving time for the ECU to adjust i can feel more of a difference in acceleration, I'm going to clean up the car and engine bay and take some more pictures :)
