Fuga XV 2004

Can anyone help here ?I have just about reached the end of the road with this.
I have a 2004 Fuga and wish to replace the existing interior mirror with a Homelink model.
Problem is the existing mirror contains what seems to be a receiver for the smart key operation.
How can I open the mirror and extract the small circuit board and cable socket ?I then wish to place it in the map light cavity.
The mirror casing is very rigid and try as I might cannot get into it without destroying it.
If I jigger the internal circuit board[only very small] then I am in trouble.

I don't have the answer to your question, but I'm going to move this thread to the M forums. The US M35/M45 is the same as the Fuga, so you should be able to find your answer there.

Thanks,but no joy-have already been through the forums.
Looks like no one else has done what I wish to.
I'll just persevere -all I need in info on whether I can open up the mirror safely.
Even the supplier in the US was unable to help.
