fueler! what the heck! your selling your qx4!!! you are an inspiration to all of us, we will miss your tips and input on your qx4. it is truly the nicest and best maintained truck on this forum in my opinion. If i didnt have my qx4 (which is black exactly like urs) i would buy yours in a heartbeat. You know your stuff and did a great job maintaining it.

I hope we see you on the forums alot still cuz your a big help. I have a few questions for you though

1) your wood grain steering wheel, how did you do it? it looks factory but I never saw a factory wood grain steering wheel on 99's. Mines got the wood grain cover i bought after, urs is wayyy nicer

2) installing your deck, how hard was it? any rewiring to be done and how is it with stock speakers?

3) your tires and rims are sweet! details on them for me cuz Id like to look into them and roughly how much that setup would cost me? and does the size affect stock brake performance

4) i feel like trading my truck for a civic everytime i hit the pump. especially with gas prices tipping well over 100 bux a barrel. but id put mine in the garage and buy a fast motorcycle or beater honda before id sell it, use it just in the winter at least for its 4x4. but hey its totally understandable, when ya gotta sell ya gots ta sell!!!

best of luck and I hope all goes well with your sale and you get top dollar.

Its made by Grant..... bought it at http://www.innerauto.com for about $45 shipped (forget their online store and just call them)

(i lied and told everybody it was from Japan )

Quote »2) installing your deck, how hard was it? any rewiring to be done and how is it with stock speakers?
The deck was pretty easy.... I have no idea as how it sounds with stock speakers as I replaced all 4 with JBL GTI (and JBL tweeters in the a-pillars too) with a full rewire

Quote »3) your tires and rims are sweet! details on them for me cuz Id like to look into them and roughly how much that setup would cost me? and does the size affect stock brake performance
Eagle Alloy 194 with Nankang Mudstars, brand new cost me $900, selling with 85% tread for $600

245/70/16 barely affected acceleration and braking, but enough to notice a difference.

Stock QX4 tires are the best for street driving.... but they are also the worst for offroad...

Japan? IIRC, I think you told everyone you got it from a cousin in Poland.

Ah yes. That would be accurate as I really do have 4x4-addicted cousins in Poland, but they deal more with Nissan Patrols and Russian Uaz's (=lot of fun)

But yea with all the money i've dumped into the QX4, it would be stupid to sell now (why the hell did i do all that maintenance)

I'm keeping

OR you could sell it in Poland haha JK. I've seen mini vans out there go for more money than here.

How easy was it to install? (the steering wheel I mean). Step by step would be nice. Also, do you think it would fit a 2002?

Lastly, I hope you keep your truck. We need you on this forum.

You betta! We still haven't gone out to hit the trails. Which, I can't right now as I have to replace the front struts and will be doing that on the 22nd.

Doing it MYSELF no less! Yeah, bring the pain!
