Just curious. Does the G50 have a low fuel warning lamp?

In the digital display in the corner (orange text), it will show "low fuel" when you are getting close.

I assume that's what it says, because mine is all in japanese.

he is right, it says something along those lines... but its not going to give you an estimated miles left... im not sure when the warning triggers but somebody around here is im sure and you can estimate mileage at that point

Really though, its not a good idea to ever run a tank near empty, you put a lot of strain on the fuel pump, a common wear part. Your best bet is to keep it at 1/4 or higher at all times

Any reason exactly you want to know if there is a low fuel warning? Your gauge not working or something?

That fuel gauge is a terrible rough estimate. I suspect you could go 50 miles when the warning comes on.

If you're on a road trip, always fill up at 1/3. Its hard to tell how far you are from your next fuel stop. I went through an ice storm in the great plains that caused a massive statewide (SD) power outage. My Maxima's fuel warning light came on, and I made the risky decision to keep driving. Miraculously, I found a gas station with power.

Keep your tank full.

AMEN to that! I got to come home for a week during Christmas, snow was so bad here in Colorado most stations had no fuel at all. All I can say is, im happy I had 15 gallons in 3 separate 5 gallon jugs to fill up Most everyone else... stayed at home and missed all the fun of driving in an intense snow storm with a RWD car . Suprised to see the prices actually only went up like 10 cents a gallon... the gas stations need a pat on the back for not upping those prices to $5+

Since 1980 Nissan has used a 2.5 gallon probe [on specialty vehicles] located on fuel pump assembly to separately signal low fuel.

The thought being that 50 miles would be enough to reach the next exit, however there is no way to test whether it is 2 gallon or 3 especially as the system ages.
