OK FELLAS I CHECKED FOR SPARK AT THE PLUGS AND SUCCESS. WOO HOO. BUT IT'S FUNNY NOW BECUASE I DON'T THINK I'M GETTING FUEL TO THE INJECTORS.. BY THE WAY I CHECKED SIGNAL FROM THE ECU TO INJECTOR HARNESS AND GOT 12VDC AT THE ECU.

Which way are the lines supposed to go from the pump to the rail?

I've swapped them back and forth already and still no turn over? i removed the spark plug after swapping fuel lines and well it's still not turning over.

I know from the fuel pump that i'm getting fuel but, in the rail i have no clue. How would you guys go about checkin for fuel in the fuel rail?

Also if the injectors were spitting out fuel shouldn't my injectors be WET and smell like fuel? just an fyi i have half a tank of gas in my 240sx.

GENTLEMEN THANKS FOR READING!!!!!!!!!!

If I remember correctly the line coming from the fuel filter goes to the bottom inlet of the fuel rail and the return will be coming out of the top.

line with filter that all fuel comes out of is going on bottom and return on top wierd thing is if the one with fuel goes in that way then the one on top goes directly the the fuel pressure regulator on the rail. and when i do it and turn the key should an *** load of fuel come out on the top line (return line)

feed line(from filter) goes to the line that feeds the rear of the fuel rail. line coming off the regulator is the return line.

and some additional note: the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) always connects to the return line.

ok another question. I'm running the stock fuel pump to the engine and a buddy came over and told me that i didn't have enough fuel pressure to start the engine and get the injectors to go. WTF? i had the same fuel pump running when i had an rb20det in the car.

BUT guess what i got the engine to start with some starting fluid.

did the engine continue to run after you jumped it with starting fluid? or did it die after a few seconds?

A good condition stock fuel pump should run your stock engine just fine, my car worked fine with it, as did Project240's.

And yes, that the Walbro (note the spelling) we both used (along with the Nismo FPR) and works wonderfully.

used starting fluid, engine kicked on then died shortly after. I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow and pulling 2 pumps. if that doesn't do it then i'm gonna buy the walbro fuel pump and the nismo fpr. hey just an fyi there was one i saw on ebay for a subaru wrx and the fpr had a psi gauge on it. i thought of getting that one so i can get the psi set correctly. and also i went to look at the fuel pump and while i disconnected it a white/orange wire broke off and it no workie now. so i'm assuming it didn't get it going because of the connection it had. But i think within the fuel delivery issue my problem will get solved. pics coming soon of finished product.

GENTLEMEN THANKS FOR THE INFO. YOUR ADVICE IS APPRECIATED HIGHLY.

i have an turbo rx-7 pump it good condition, email me if you're interested. it will directly bolt on inplace of your stock 240's.

look like you're having the same trouble starting the car like some others. look at my thread here about issue with starting up with starter-fluid and it dies shortly after. check this post out, http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=83772 scroll down to my post on bottom of that page...
