Fuel Tank Vent??

I did a search but none of the threads really answered my question, the line that vents the gas tank, well at least i think thats what it does. I just pulled it off the canister and left it, but sometimes pressure builds up do much in my gas tank that fuel leaks around the sending unit at the top of the tank. If i drive with my gas cap off it is fine, no leaks, any solutions?thanks

Always drive with the gas cap off.

No, not really. I am not sure. I removed the can thing and removed the hardline in the enginebay. Have not had the pressure thing that I am aware of.

Always breathe deeply when removing your gas cap...it'll make it more fun (I have nothing constructive to add, but mine also builds up a lot of pressure).

no dont drive with ur gas caps off it will kill ur fuel pump.

Ok, but its ok to just leave that line cut?

check the vent line if its clog and then put it back. I supposed to vent some pressure from the tank. I dont know about leaving that line cut.

if this doesn't work consult a certified mechanic.

Put a check valve or something on it so it can release the pressure?

oh well I removed mine back to the firewall where it goes under the car.

then left it open. been that way for 1k miles and all is well.

Gas mileage sucks, but that might be because too much boost.
