Hi I have a 95 240sx owned it for a year now no real problems, but on a trip back from Jacksonvile I stopped somewhere and when I came back to my car there was puddle of gas under my car I looked under and it was dripping off my gas tank. I got home took it to a mechanic and he said it was cracked. I don't even know how that happend but that won't help me know. I am looking online and not finding any gas tanks does anyone know where I can buy one besides the dealership cause that's $400.

Thanks for any help.

how bad is the crack? Some places will patch or rebuild your tank if it's not bad.

I have no idea how bad it is but they shop didn't even want to try it. So I don't know if that means anything. I don't think I could fix it like the only thing I could do it apoxy it or something. Hey maybe I should try to weld it haha na just kidding.

Thanks for the help

If you can drop your fuel tank and siphon out the tank, there's a liquid sealant you can pour in and roll around the tank to fix the crack. I forgot what the name of it was, I'll look it up but I remember helping my neighbor with his cracked tank on his ranger like that.
