Im thinking about sealing the fuel tank on my 96 hardbody because of the rust clogging up the strainer and fuel filter. When i opened up the tank, i noticed two plastic pieces that were secured to the bottom of the tank and created a box around the fuel sending unit/fuel pump.

Has anyone sealed their fuel tank?
Did you remove the plastic pieces?
How hard was it to remove the pieces?
