I have ditched my charcoal canister and stuff because emissions is for rabbits, and now I have noticed as it gets hotter outside the pressure in the tank gets really high. High enough to worry my dad that the tank is going to rupture. I have capped off the metal line from the fuel tank to the canister (or where it used to be). Should this line be left unplugged? Or should I run it to a breather filter or something? How did you guys manage to do this? The charcoal canister is NOT going back on; that thing sucks.

I had the same problem. It would get so bad that tank pressure would actually cause fuel delivery problems (as I got down toward the bottom of the tank, the car would bog really bad all the time). I had the vent line capped as well. I uncapped it and no problems at all. Not even a gas smell under the hood.
