I thought all 240's had bolts not rings....I'm getting old

For a lock ring you need a big screwdriver and a good size hammer. Find the tab off the inner lockring and knock it counter clockwise to loosen it up. At full counter clockwise you can pull it out and the assembly comes out.

Make sure you clean up the top of the tank from dust and debris otherwise that **** will all end up in the tank.

Hmm... I hope i dont break one of the tabs off... That would blow.

I'm going to test my fuel pressure tonight and then install my Walbro 255 pump... (and test pressure again.. not that it should change)

I'll also mount my Aromotice FPR with new fuel line if I have time.

Thanks.

As long as you're doing it correctly you won't. They're pretty durable and usually there's 3 or 4 on the ring you can use. I've never broken one in 15 years

Just look at it for a minute and you'll see how it works. It's not that big of a deal but at first can be a bit crazy to work with.

yes,, screw driver and a hammer will get them off... just place the screw driver closest to the inner part adn you will be fine... start by tapping it lightly and hitting it harder... it will come loose..
