If you are going to keep the stock injectors and keep everything stock, don't even waste your time with an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. But if you absolutely must change your fpr, the NISMO unit is your best choice in terms of ease of installation, function and cost.ca18detgabby wrote:Since I was a slacker and didnt swap my FP when I did my swap and my BF is doing some shopping for Xmas..... naturally a FPR and FP came to mind. Short of the nismo, what other FPRs have people had good luck with?
I will dump the old fuel filter at the same time. what else might I need to upgrade assuming Im running everything at the stock levels?
Soon as the FAL Flex-o-Lite fans hit my door I can finally install them and wire my AC compressor.
Also have a oil catch can laying in my corner waiting to be installed..... just need to find the time
The stock fpr can support as much 500hp in most applications. People mostly change them because they feel it's the right thing to do when upgrading, but in all actuality, the stock fpr is very well built and will not faulter. I've had one NISMO fpr fail on me and it took a trip to the dyno to point it out as the car would go lean in the higher rpm range no matter how much I fatten-up the fuel curve.ca18detgabby wrote:thanks again BB
so looks like the nismo is the way to go.....
I dont need to do a FPR when Im running everything at stock levels? Based on the write up float did, it said they both should be done at the same time. if it isnt a huge deal and the stock FPR will work then might as well leave that on the back burner for now as there is plenty of other things to do.
yeah i know the time thing still have a FMIC to install as well, got to find time to break out the sawzillia before I can play with that
thanks again BBboost_boy wrote:The stock fpr can support as much 500hp in most applications. Good to hear! This selling of the CA thing is moreso from the newbies or guys who fail to read and/or listen. I just sit back and read and watch the complaints, help when I can and wait for the sell. So far I'm 5 for 5 and I have a feeling there's going to be more in the next month. Just continue to learn about the standalone you're using, apply what you've learned and yourengine will last you a long-long time.r34 gtr wrote:Dee I will NOT be selling my ca18 next.
Cool when they ask that question, ain't it?Woods Crasher wrote:
