I've noticed slight fuel smell inside the cabin after replacing both fuel filter and FPCU over the weekend. I've checked the fuel hose there's no sign of leak. The smell is more prominent when my fuel gauge shows less than 1/4 tank full. FP was replaced 5 months ago and all injectors were replaced 11 months ago (10k miles). I don't think I have leaky injectors but will end up checking it too.

I will check the metal fuel lines in the tank connected into a rubber hose. Possibly the rubber hose need to be replaced.

Any thoughts?

triple check the tightness on the hose clamps at filter.they usually don't leak enough to see or feel anthing, but you can smell it.very common after replacing the underplenum fuel hoses to have to go and re-tighten a few times (always leave the screws where you can get at them with plenum on).

Take a look at how the o-ring is laying if you remove the fuel pump/sending unit from the top of the tank. Is it still laying in the groove on the tank? If not you may need to help it stay in place with a few 1/8" wide strips of electrical tape (or equivalent) when you reinstall the pump assembly.

Retightened the fuel filter clamp and checked out the tank fuel lines. Run hard around the block and the smell is evident coming from the tank. Aha, there's a small leak coming out from ther metal/rubber hose fitting. It looks like the metal fuel line slightly pushed down the rubber hose and evidently showing a slight leak. It's not that bad but I will eventually replace it.
