I have a 2004 Frontier 2.4 extra cab 2 wheel drive automatic. I've been trying to locate the fuel rail insulators that seals the fuel rail to the head assembly. My vin# is 1N6DD26T04C482876, the engine is a KR24 on the spec label. The fuel rail insulator is a rubber donut and I've taken the vin to the local dealer and he came out with a 16636-0Z800 insulator, but this is not it. I ordered the Ishino Stone insulator but it wasn't it either. I bought this truck as it barely ran and found the fuel rail wasn't sealed and sucked a lot of air causing the engine to barely rev and never idle. The guy that owned it before replaced the insulators with smaller donuts that I think was designed for the 3.3 V6. The build date for this truck is Oct.2004. Other parts sites list some parts as made before September 2004.This is so frustrating. Has anyone else run into this problem. I'm hoping someone out there has had this dilemma and figured this out as Nissan couldn't.

:welcome: to NICO!

I just looked up the part at Nissan's official parts site, and came up with the same part number you referenced. https://parts.nissanusa.com/

Do you think the truck may have had an engine swap? I have what I think is probably the same truck as yours, with a build date of 08/04. Here are a few under hood pictures, to compare.
