Please help me, I've pulled it out and can't get it back in!1993 240sx... Does the fuel rail just sit on the holes in the manifold or do I have to some how by magic make it fit into what seems an impossible fit? Any tricks or trade secerets? I am beside myself after 3 days of scratching my head, stairing at it and all the other things I can't mention. Thanks, Joe

are you talking about the whole rail(gold/silver metal bar that holds all 4 injectors) or each individual injector?

the whole bar just sets down on the 4 flat rubber washers and the 2 12mm bolts hold it firm against them.

if its the individual injectors your putting into the above mentioned rail you need to lube the orings up and push down on them so they pop into place. Do not rotate them to much as you could roll the oring. only slight equal rotations of no more then a quater inch side to side is enough to help them work in.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering about the entire fuel rail.I am having a problem getting it started after rebuilding the engine. I just needed to narrow down the possible issues.I have triple checked the timing chain (it's o.k.) and the distributor and wires are o.k. Tdc and all that has been double checked. I am getting only 30 to 45 lbs of compression on all four cylinders. Do you think it could be improper valve adjustment shims? After thinking about it I think I may have put the old ones on backward and on the wrong sides. Could I have damaged any valves doing this? Thanks for your help, Joe
