What is that sound and pressurized hose next to the fuel filter. Does it drain the battery if it stays on for a period of 8 hours??

I've noticed that too after a hard or long drive once i turn the car off a hissing from the fuel lines and area will be quite noticable. One thing i've learned is that it is do to pressure in the fuel system, i've started loosing the gas cap and releasing the pressure and the hissing goes away and stops.

However i did it one time after quite a hard drive and let my car cooled down (TT) and when i loosened the cap it was blowing gas fumes out aggressively and almost to the point where it seemed like it was a boiling pot and for quite some time it was blowing extremely hot gas fumes out of the tank. I have no clue what causes this other than pressure build up.

actually when you remove the gas cap it is air rushing in because the pump creates a vaccum in the tank because of it sucking the fuel and no more air can get in there when the gas cap is screwed on peoperly.... PLEASE dont try to prove me wrong by running your Z w/o the gas cap

I found the fuse that controls the problem.. its the fuel pump egi.. The fuse box located by the battery has several green fuses.. the one on the end is labeled fuel pump egi. Im going to replace it and hopefully that will solve the problem

If you start to have problems change out the last green fuse that is near the battery. The fuse relay was sticking in my car and the mechanic changed my alternator, battery, and other small things but it was the $12 fuse that I needed.
