I've searched and tried all i can think of. I have an auto 95 OBDI s14, everything stock. A while ago the car died so i tried to start it again real quick and didnt her the pump prime. I test the pump and it reads bad so i replace it. Still no start. So fast forward a bit. I've narrowed it down to the relay tripping once the key is turned on thereby cutting the power to the pump. The relay is good ive tested and swapped it. I tried hardwiring the pump with a kit from deatschwerks and the same thing happens with the relay in the kit, relay click once when i turn the key on then instantly clicks again. So my question is what would cause this? I checked all grounds and they are tight. I guess i could go back and sand them all down just to be sure. But other than that i am completely lost. Any ideas???

try to jump the relay with a piece of wire , if it works your ECU probably needs to be replaced. I had the same problem last week untill someone loaned me their ecu to test. its most likely the ecu ,or your fuel pump and they are the most expensive things you can try first., both should be under $100 each anywhere you look.

how did you connect the wires when you replaced the fuel pump? Did you use the but connectors?

I used one of them for the negative side because that side of the stock harness was a bit worn. But i kept the stock connector for the positive side.

The connector may have come loose.

Does your ecu light turn on when you turn the key?
If the ecu doesn't turn on, the fuel pump wont prime.

Would the connections being loose cause the ECU to trip the relay?

And yes the ECU gets power and comes on. But its tripping the relay for some reason.
