I have a problem where when I put the key to the "on" position, the fuel pump keeps on priming fuel. I can actually see the fuel from my catchcan being squirted into the motor. Any input on what to check for and how to stop this problem would be great.
Btw, the fuel pump priming can't lead to the motor flooding correct?

fuel pump priming will not flood the motor, it is a return based system...when you say catch can what do you mean?the pump should prime for 5 sec without crank movement then shut off, sort of an inbuilt safty device.

the motor doesnt move any oil unless the crank is moving. not sure what your friend saw, but priming the fuel pump constantly probably means your wiring is bad and your fuel pump relay is always triggered.

Is this hard to fix (if the wiring is bad, or if the relay is shot)? Sorry for the newbie questions, just got the car with the swap, and I'm trying to make it last as long as possible.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I've been having the same problem. It started after I wired up my windshield wipers, could I have tripped the relay doing this?
