Yes I searched many a times and found many a threads. All post problems and seem to find the solution but don't post what it is. So here's my dilemma.

98 sr20det motor. Fuel pump just 2 days ago started acting up. Seems to be wiring, but I don't know where. Fuel Pump fuse is OK. Fuel Pump is OK. There is power going to the gas gauge float. But no power going to the fuel pump power wire.

Now things that I read in other threads that may pertain to my situationThere is a electric fan. I don't know how/if they wired into my fuel pump wiring system.Gray and brown plug by the battery??

I'm out of ideas- I need to get my car running an hour ago. Has hardwiring the fuel pump worked for anybody?

The electric fan is not wired into the fuel system. Its independent with a on/off switch going to the fan and to the battery.

The pump is functionalThe fuse is functional

The next thing I am going to check is the ECU and see if the ecu is getting power and sending to the fuel pump.

Not familuar with your exact set up but doesn't the fuel pump go through a relay that is controled by the ECU? I would check your relays. I doubt they would run the fuel pump current directly through the ECU.

Try searching for a Factory Service Manual for the wiring harness you are useing (the car it originaly came from) and that may help you trace it out.

Hardwireing is not recomened but you may wnat to try it jus to verify that the pump itself is good.

When I turn the key to the on position the ECU is getting power. I took a voltmeter and was testing things out and most everything is getting power around it. Is there a relay I can check? EGI? ECCS? How do I check it? I need to get my car running and temporarily bypass or fix whatever and then I can 100% fix it down the road.

I had an issue in mine with a loose connection at the SMJ. Go through the wiring diagram in the fsm and work from the pump back to the battery.

I don't know what to follow? Do I follow the relay? I can't find the fuel pump wiring in the diagrams! This is the only image that has been semi-helpful. 'The converted', can you give me the diagram number and section or take a snapshot of the diagram I need to look at?

The only thing I can think of is I bumped a wire in the engine bay. I was cleaning it yesterday and I replaced the coolant overflow tank. Maybe a wire in that fuse box? Thanks for the help everyone.

pg 135 in EC has the simpler diagram that is just fuel pump wiring. If you need to know where a connector is, there is a map in the EL section to tell you where to look.

I have no idea where pg 135 in the EC is? I opened up Engine_C seeing as that was the only EC but its only 10 pages or so long. Can you give me the direct link to each? I feel like an idiot

I have literally been searching for about 6 hours today. No one seems to know how to fix this..

I'm dumb, I was looking at the 91-94 manual. I honestly have no idea how different they are but if you look at that you'll at least get an idea of what the circuit looks like

Well i still have 56k sadly, so trying to open that file would be a death sentence haha. So if you could copy the picture and post on here that would be great. The diagrams that you said I would need I will examine and look at thoroughly.

But my current status is I need my car back!!! Has anyone figured this out? This problem is on TONS of 240 forums, but no one figures them out. Any help please?
