fuel pump whineing

i just installed walbro 255lph is the whineing noise common or just needs to break in or what it apears about 5 mins after i start the car.. anyone have any idea

It shouldn't be for 5 minutes, only about 3 seconds during priming and then when you're going you will hear the fuel pump going as well. It's a bit noisy but I guess the trade off for the high flow and affordability.

i've been in about 35 240sx's with walbro fuel pumps. It's normal for it to whine while running. If your interior is stripped you'll hear it much more clearly.
