Is the Walbro 255LPH fuel pump too much for the stock FPR to handle?

No. I run the Walbro 255 High pressure with my stock fuel pump.... REMEMBER, the stock FPR is the same FPR on an SR.

No, but it can go bad/already be bad simply because it is usually a 15 or so year old part.

And usually, when you install upgraded fuel pumps, it exposes that problem.

May be a good time to get an adjustable unit. I bought a Megan, and it seems good enough.

I rigged one up from a 97 motor, I'll have some pics when I get home tonight. I bought a Megan Racing FPR, the ones that look like the one on Ebay (because they are the same), and I dissassembled it out of curiousity. It looks like dog ****. I will have some pics when I get home tonight

Please do. I would like to see it. I know the thing is cheap, but honestly, I didn't expect much anyway. If it fails it fails. CrzyCav86 has been running one for a while now on his KA-t, says it works fine.

if your gonna run bigger injectors i think going with a 1:1 fpr will be the best idea anyway. Extra fuel pressure doesnt give any benefit really.. right?

when im redoing my fuel system ill probably go with a new OEM unit unless someone here can reccommend better.

GEO - i have my kit running but im going to install my walbro tomorrow. I will also run my SR 370cc injectors and I already have a running SAFCII. I was wondering how your kit ran with just the Walbro and what kind of settings do you have on your SAFCII??? What did you set your BOV to ??? Soft - - hard?? Thanks!!!

like we all say every car is different, but at idle, i got my safc-2 at -10 correction , low map -20 and high map is all over according to afr. I havn't really touched my BOV, i am gonna make it so its alittle bit softer then what it came from the factory. If you do your bov, tell me what you did. ANyone else ever tune the greddy Type RS bovon their KA? Let us know what you did to amke it perfect, btw, mine is recirculated.

i dont know about the RS but i did it for the type S. even though i recirculated it it was too hard and would barley let the air out. so i had to soften it up. you can tell by checking your AFR's and seeing if they stay normal or get leaner. just make sure it doesnt get too lean. i set mines until it stayed stoich when i shifted.

Yeah when I drove my car around the block twice I heard the BOV open but I can feel its too hard because my car seemed like it was leaning out. It nearly died when I accelerated quickly switched gears and then went to neutral.

A 1: 1 can work better when you raise the pressure a little.

wait, chicago, did you toucht eh Type-RS at all? You know if you recirculate it into the intake, you won't really stall out even if it is too loose.
