I'd check for proper engine grounding first. If that's not the case, why not invest in a fuel pressure gauge. Atleast then you'll know you are getting fuel.

yea sounds like the right thing to do, also make sure that all your wiring is correct.

Run 10gauge wire to your fuel pump if you put a new one in.

What led you to believe it was the fuel pump? Have you eliminated other possibilities?

I have had a similar problem in the past. If the car isnt getting a high enough fuel pressure due to the fuel pump being bad, then when you push the gas it will spit and sputter like its going to die but wont shut off, well maybe every now and then. But once you pass a certain rpm range without boosting, it gets smooth due to some reason I would usually try to B.S. but this time im not really sure. Maybe when its at higher RPMs there is a little more juice in the battery to supply to the pump and its pumping a little faster or something, not sure!!!

Also, try replacing the fuel filter before the fuel pump, costs a lot less, and if it works you just saved 80 bucks. If you do replace the fuel pump, just drop the money on a walbro or a high pressure one for about the same amount of money!

i got a walbro 255 and it works fine. kinda loud though. anyone else have this problem? i think my tank is filthy and has a lot of dirt in it. i changed the strainer twice already! might need to do it again.
