do some searching, as this has been a hot topic many many times.

I have a walbro and it works great, but I have seen people bash them for failing and some people say they are loud. I payed right around 100 for mine, and it has performed great. It does overwhelm the stock regulator, so plan on getting a FPR and a Fuel pressure gauge to set it. (I used the NISMO FPR from courtesynissan and a Fuel pressure gauge from summitracing)

I love the Walbro pump, OE factory replacement size, easy to install....no complaints.

I'm running a MKIV Denso unit and it is awesome. I hear you can pick them up from here http://www.trademotion.com/par...gid=1 for ~$197 I got the ref off the site listed below... but double check to see if the part number is 195130-1020 just to be on the safe side (strange that a NA pump is more than the Turbo's pump).

I can hear the walbros in my friend's cars that have them... I can't hear my pump unless I got to the back of the car and put my ear by the tank access.

Here is a link to a good writeup on pump selection for VR4's:http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm

Hope this helps!

I had to trim the inside of the rubber isolator on the bottom of the pump to fit the MKIV unit... but yes it should fit. I can't see the DOHC S13 and S14 pumps being that different.

No problem... glad I could help!

Might be worth while to pick up some sort of fp gauge to keep an eye on things. That pump might outflow your regulator. I would look into a gauge and adj fpr if it's in your budget. I am running an adj. fpr, so I don't know what it's like with the stock regulator in there. I do strongly suggest that you at least get a gauge if you don't get a adj fpr.

On a side note... I noticed a huge difference in fuel pressure when I wired it directly (fused) to the battery. Make sure you put it on a ign switch/relay so that it cuts off when the car is off if you do run a direct power wire.

Let me know if you have any questions with the install. Be sure to pick up a filter if it doesn't come with one when you order it. Enjoy the pump!

what you do is run direct power to the pump, and use the old pump power as a relay trigger.

Fuel pump rewire mod. Do the 240's have the same problem like the DSM's?

I used the B&M fuel gauge (summit racing has them for great price) on my RB20, go to your local PepBoys and get a 1/8 Tee (make sure the inside opening have no restriction, there are several version) and 1/8 ->5/16" barb fuel fittings and mount the gauge on there.

no idea. i have had a handful of dsm's but no 240's.

its a shame too, because i like the 240's, but their so bandwagon right now. i hate that.

my father had one back in the early 90's i think it was a 91 that he got in 93.

he crashed it drunk driving though

i have a Turbo FD RX7 pump here if you want, made by Denso so is the Supra's. i think it flow close to the Turbo MK4 Supra's Pump. it will be a direct bolt on for the 240.
