Yes. And as for buying used, go to a junkyard or ask someone whos got one locally.

Otherwise, why don't you try the sponsors here on the right side of the page? If you've got a twin turbo car and you're on a budget that prevents you from spending a couple hundred, you've got a big problem and should probably dump it on someone who can handle the costs. Or just enjoy your 3500 pound paperweight.

cruise control won't work without speedo, neither will the odometer. either you have a bad speed sensor AND a bad coolant temp sensor, or your gauge cluster is shot.

Thank you! I've checked the coolant temp sensor and it was good.. I haven't tested the speed sensor because the exhaust needs to be removed in order to take out from transmission..

Welcome to NICO I'm sorry I'm late to the party.

DroiiDz does your gauge cluster never work or does it work sometimes?

My gauge cluster in my car works fine except the speedometer and factory boost gauge. The factory boost guages not working are common problems (keep in mind our cars are 22 years old).

My speedometer works when it wants to.

For the record: Even though the speedometer isn't working it doesn't mean the cruise control won't be working (don't ask me how because I have no idea but mine worked even when my speedometer would say I'm going no where). The problem with mine was the plug on the harness had a slight crack in it which is why sometimes my speedo worked and sometimes it didn't. I figured out the problem when I started my rebuild so it should be fixed now since I got a brand new oem alternator harness which I suggest you do the same..

I still have to get a new oem speed sensor which I plan on doing next week it doesn't need to be changed but its better to be safe than sorry plus they aren't that pricey..

I'm hoping to have my Z back on the road around october. So I want find out if its fixed for sure until then.
