for some reason i dont have any power going to the fuel pump. I looked at the fuse an its good. So i decided to take the pump up an connect test leads to it and it runs fine. So my question is is there any relay for the pump or could it be the wiring from the SR harness? What would be the best way to shoot the wires to see if a specific one is bad? Plus the connector looks kinda dirty so i need to clean that out an try it again. Thnx for any help

I believe that the fuel pump relay is brown and located behind the drivers side kick panel, attached to the big fuse block. But dont hold me to that...

it's in the engine bay on the passenger side fender on usdm models (240's not silvias).

It says EGI pump on the cover, that means fuel pump I dunno why.Good luck! probably just dead.

Fuel Pump Relay is up in the drivers footwell, by the fuse block on US S14's.

Check the ground on it...it's typically what fails.

ok so what i did today i looked in FSM for my 89' an i seen on pg EF & EC 120 & 121 the trouble diagnoses for the fuel pump. The way im understanding this is to

disco the fuel pump harness and check voltage between terminal A and ground. Voltage should appear for 5 secs after switch is turned on. if not good check power supply from relay side. MINE WAS BAD

If thats not good to disco the fuel pump relay and check voltage between terminals 2,4 and ground if good check the relay for continuity (ref. EF & EC-150) MINE WAS GOOD

Check continuity between relay harness connector terminal 1 and fuel pump harness connector terminal A. MINE WAS BAD it says to repair or replace harness or connectors between terminals 1 and A

my question now is how an i suppose to do that basically the "easiest" way or "smart" way other than cutting open the whole harness and seeing if i have a short in the wire somewhere? Another thing that should be noted is that my brake lights are on at all times!? Whats left to check? the ECU? if so which pin is the fuel pump? i have the 62.
