fuel pump swap... advice me.. i have problems with this...

hey, i hope that all of you can help me....

car : 240sx 90 coupe

problem: car start to fail much yesterday, first i hope that my car hasnt fuel, because always has 1 gal of fuel into tank( reserve + fuel = 1 gal) i always drive in reserve mode. .. i shut off myy car and 3 hours later, i start it but it dont start... i have to press at full the gas, and it start but i have to press repetly times the gas pedal or the car shut off. if i press the gas and mantain the rpms up to 4000 the car work fine... and under 4000 rpms the car try to shut off. .. i shut of the car and go to class room in my school, and when i return for go to home, the car doesnt start.. i press again gas full, but it try to start but it dont start....

I thought that fuel pump has wrong because if i dont press the gas pedal it doesnt start.... and well, theres no air leaks and i do all the service... .... it seems to be a fuel pressure problem...

i dont have much money and my father has a fuel pump from a f350 95 302 and i use it to put into my car... now... my car has the fuel pump and it star but if i dont press the gas up to 1500 rpms, the car try to hesitate, and slowly the rpms go down.. and shut of....

i run my car to do the idle adjust ... i run it cold and i press the gas full and it run VERY FINE.... before doing the swap, it hasnt to much power, and now, it has power, but the problem still a little. but now i can start my car and move it......

is there a problem with pressure regulator? and what i need to do a good swap for my fuel pump?? i need to change the fuel filter ? i have an 300zx fuel filter into my car and i dont change it. I ONLY CHANGE THE FUEL PUMP (F350 302 MOD 95)

possibly sounds like fuel pressure regulator. check make sure fuel pump works properly.

eit... i finaly did.....i put a fuel pump (ford 302 5.0) and it run great... i do the same mpg and now, my motor start without need of press gas in morning.. it start like a new car =)))) i had IDLE PROBLEMS and i try all the things.. i do all the stufs.. now, my idle problem was in the past =))) i dont have more idle problems =)))
