fuel pump shut down Drivng me CRAZY

HELLO I HAVE A 1985 300ZX NON TURBO AUTOMATIC .It will try and start then the fuel pump shut down after 1 seconds.Is there a built in shut down? like if it get low on fluids.I checked the fluids and there ok.maybe a bad sencer or relay that could cause it. Maybe the fuel pump is getting hot and throughing a relay.need some where to start before I drop the tank and buy a $250.00 fuel pump. Thats more then I paid for the car. Confused in Arkansas Danny PS also wheres the fuel pump relay located at?

that is normal opperation it it does not start. prime then wait for start.

Do you use starting fluid? the car hasn't been stated in over a year.it tries to start .

if that is normal then the car would be running and its not. I replaced the fuel filter also. doesn't anyone know where the fuel pump relay at?
