I was at a drift event this past weekend, and while my friend was co-driving my car it killed on him as he was exiting the course and wouldn't start again. I looked at the fuel pressure gauge and it was at 0 psi. I turned the key on and didn't hear the pump prime, so I checked and tested the fuse and it tested good. I towed the car home and tested the power to the pump and i'm not getting any power. Pulled the pump out just for s@#ts and giggles and tested it on my battery and it worked fine. The only thing left that i can think of is my fuel pump rely, but I cant seem to locate it. I read and reread the FSM but it doesn't state where its located at. its a 95 S14. I know that the S13 its under the hood but on the S14 its not in the same place. where is the rely locaded? Also if anybody could suggest any other reason why my fuel pump is not coming on I'm all ears.

thanks in advance Eric.

O.K. I found the relay (its in the driver side kick panel). the relay tested good. I'm getting 12v to the relay, if i jump the relay off the pump works. so the only thing left is the signal from the ECU. Does anybody know what that signal should be, Is it a ground or is it a 12v signal? How long does it send the signal when you turn the key on?

I need to know these things so i can test it properly. I'm going to just hard wire the pump in to the ignition but I would still like to find out whats wrong. If i don't figure it out it will drve me crazy.

Weird problem

I believe its a 12 volt signal that activates the relay, that would make the most sense. Check the FSM to be sure. The signal should stay on, the pump controls the rest.
