fuel pump relay problem

hello nistechs,

i have a serious problem with my 89/93 240sx. (89 body-93 motor). i put 11.7:1 CR pistons, port and polished head, cams, i/h/e, and an s-afcII. my motor died on me the other day after driving it for only 300 miles under the break in period.

i cant get the fuel pump to come on, so i put a walbro 255 in it, still nothing. the fuse is fine, brand new relay. tested everything to the FSM and tracked to the fuel pump relay not getting power. the only thing that i can think of is that the stock ecu is dead. i pulled both covers off of it and the internals look fine and no offensive smells.

is this an ecu problem or something simple that i am missing? i have done a search but nothing answered my questions.

check all your fuses and make sure none are blown. The ecm does not supply power to the fuel pump relay it supplies ground. If you dont have power to the relay you need to check fuses.

checked all of my fuses, they are good. checked all of my relays they are good. put in a new computer, fuel pump now kicks on but motor will not start.

does the motor turn over and not start or does it not even turn over?

it turns over and tries. i think the spark plugs are fouled. i can smell gas out the exhaust.

clean the plugs,put them back in,hold your foot to the floor and try starting it.

starts up now. all good except now i need 370cc injectors and an FPR. after that i should be good, at least i hope so.
