Hello, first time poster. yeah, I know it's bad of me, but I'm in serious need of help.
My 92 240sx, with 193k miles under its belt, has some kind problem that I can't seem to figure out.
It started 6 months ago when my car stalled. The fuel pump is in working order because I have it replaced as well as the starter and timing chain & tensioner as a precaution (use to own a '82 Nissan 280zx) after it hit 180k miles. I was hoping the car would run fine for at least 25k more miles.
To describe the stall. When driving, my car all of the sudden lost power. If I floor the gas, I'm remaining in the same speed and RPM for about a few seconds until the car gradually loses power and speed to a stop. Then all of the sudden, the car just shuts down and my steering wheel feels heavy.
I was able to figure out the problem when I've noticed the two relays in regards to the fuel pump were running way too hot. So I had them replaced.
It ran well until 2 weeks ago when I had my AC on while I was driving. The car stalled on me again and noted the two same relays, despite replacing them with two new ones, were overheating again. Something is wrong, but I've decided to replace them again with two brand new ones from the Nissan dealer. Now 2 days ago, while driving on the freeway for an hour, the car stalled on me again. Both relays were running too hot in my opinion.
Now I can't figure out what's going on and why there is so much current and heat going through the fuel relay and the other green relay next to it. I've checked the wires to see if any of them were damaged, but I don't see any faults underneath that black box.
Can anyone help me? I truely love my car. I didn't even put any sort of mods, it's bone stock. However, after driving two Nissans in which both having electrical problems on me, I'm starting to cry and starting to lean towards Toyota because my Dad's 1984 Toyota Celica still runs with 350,000 miles under its belt.
