Fuel Pump Relay Issues :P RB26 300zx

Alright Im doing a Rb26 swap in a 1990 300zx. The fuel pump relay wont switch on, pin 18 on the ecu is hooked up correctly. Did a voltage test on pin 18 and is only reading .05 volts when I turn the key. When we jump the relay the pump will turn on. Anyone have this issue? How much voltage is pin 18 suppose to put out? Is there any other wire I can splice the b/p wire into to make it work? Searched all over for answers cant find anything...also posted on rbz32.com but that forum is pretty much dead...

The engine cranks over and I get power to the AEM ECU... pretty much stumped at this point

Just hard wire it in, problem solved. I hate chasing down voltage issues.

According to the wiring diagram, the ECU at pin # 18 supplies a ground to the fuel pump relay. Looking at the bottom of the fuel pump relay connector. Terminal 1 is to ECU terminal 18. Terminal 2 is power from the ignition switch. Terminal 3 is battery source, which in this case is the ignition switch. Terminal 5 is to the fuel pump itself.

Terminals 1 and 2 are the coil, 3 and 5 are the switch. So when you wire it correctly or maybe you have a bad relay, everything should work fine. If not, bypass it.

FYI, Nissan ECUs mainly supply a ground to relays/switches as the ground side of ther circuit "arcs" less when energized.

is there a ground wire coming out of the ecu that the 18 would circuit to?

I'm not sure where the fuel pump is in that car but I had the same issue with my 240 I just cut the ground wire right by the plug made my own grounds the added an after market relay

just hooked up the stock ecu, heard the pump spin like a mofo so turns out its the aem calling them tomorrow, hopefully i can get it repaired...

My rb26 swapped 300zxtt fuel pump comes on when I hook the battery up..
I'm using the haltech..I wonder if I have a similar issue..
