Does anyone know the flow rate for the stock fuel pump? I have to replace mine, and I already bought the last J fuel pump from the junk yard, and it's now dead.

I have several options, a Q45 fuel pump, a S13 240SX fuel pump, or I could order a Walboro 255 pump.

Will the Q45 pump work on the J, and does anyone know the flow rate for that pump?

Thanks!

Q pump on the top, J pump on the bottom.

Can the Q pump be fully submerged? To me, by the looks of it, it looks like it is designed to sit at the top of the tank. Is this right?

Walbro or the Q45 pump because the 240SX pump is meant for a smaller engine.

I am sure the Q45 fuel pump is meant to be submerged because everone always says to keep the fuel tank above 1/4 full to cool the pump.

Not sure on the flow rate for J30 fuel pump.

Now with quite a bit of modification, I am using a Q45 fuel pump. It took a lot of work to modify the J30 fuel pump assembly to fit the Q45 pump, but its working now.

The Q45 pump is at least 10 to 15 times louder than the J30 pump. It is very loud. At least if I do a VG30DETT swap, I should be good with this fuel pump.

When I first got it in there, I was having weird cut out issues while driving. It would rev in park just fine, but when I started driving it wanted to die. Just needed more gas in the tank. That was a fun trip to the gas station.

Now I just have to get my Amps wired back up, so I have some music to drown out the noise of the loud fuel pump!

Pump is loud because you bought a used tired old worn out one.
