I heard they whine when they are going out. Lately i have heard a low groan type noise frmo the back. Very faint but I hear it. IT has been like that for a while me thinks.

Not sure if it is normal noise or if it's bad. If i recall correctly the FP was replaced about 50K or so ago maybe less.

Is there any performance problems associated with it? I have had stumbling problems but those were cured by the wiggle method on the CAS.

First it will make a hum, then a groan, then a really bad groan, and it will die. Or in some rare cases, it will die without any kind of warning. There wont be any changes in performance. It'll fry your FPCU too.

For me, the hum/buzz was louder under heavy acceleration.

One day I exited off the highway, slowed down, and the car died. Pushed it to a gas station and had it towed.

mine is just there. It does not change with RPMS or anything. And if i am acelerating I do not hear it. It almost sounds like a 60hz humm from one of the those green electrical boxes on the side of the room.

OR even like the noise the lincolns make for their air suspension.
