when i first got my tt-z a couple months ago it still had the stocker fuel pump that was noticable buzzing. So i did a little research and ended up buying a walbro 255lph pump rated to 500 hp. I now am about to replace it for the 3rd time and i cant figure out why. It always starts out with it cutting out around sharp corners then it gradually escalates into a loud buzzing/whining noise and i will begin to notice a loss of straight line power as well. Any opinions on what could be causing this? im guessing its something to do with the install if anyones got any tips or a detailed version of how to install an aftermarket fuel pump.

I believe the stock TT fuel pump outflows the walbro, have any of the pumps actually quit working or caused the car to stall? if you are actually killing fuel pumps, might be something in your gas, you using any miricle cure potions? and if the pumps aren't actually quitting, turn up the stereo, have you done any other mods to the car preceding these problems, I had a but the was eating fuel pumps becasue he hooked up a fpr backwards, also the pump is contrroled by a FPCU located behind the panle behind the drivers seat, it modulated the pump to deliver the needed fuel, this might not mesh well with aftermarket pumps, perhaps and OE replacment os in order?

If you keep on eating through fuel pumps, go back to the OEM ones, as they flow just fine.

Nope never caused it to stall or anything and i think the stocker does outflow this one. But from what you guys are sayin it would probably be a better choice to spend a little extra money and just stick with oem.
