I replaced my stock fuel pump in my 240sx a few days ago with a walbro 255 lph. It ran fine for a few days but then, out of the blue, started humming ridiculously loud. I have no idea what cause it . At first, when i turn the car on, its quiet, but before the car finishes warming up, its extremely loud. The car now is also not drivable because of this problem. Everytime i hit the gas, it boggs down like its not getting enough gas to the engine. This happens before i even reach 2500 rpms. Any feedback on why im having this problem will be very appreciated. Thnx

I guess the easiest way would be to check your wiring and make sure you are getting around 12 volts to the walbro.

Speaking of "out of the blue," does the car spit out blue smoke? or any kind of smoke? That will cause bogging because of too much gas, not too little.

What a lot of ppl don't do or realize is that the fpr is "usually" bad. You can find this out w/ a fuel pressure gauge.

And when you say undrivable. Is it physically undrivable, or just "embarassing" to drive.
