On my 95 J30, fuel pump is not starting. This happened after I replaced ignition switch. I had checked fuel pump it works, the problem is that there no electricity comes to fuel pump when I starting car. I checked fuel pump fuse, it is good; replaced fuel pump relay. Don't have any idea what could be done more. Any one have any suggestions? all help appreciated. Thanks

Was the ignition switch installed properly/correctly?

Have you checked the fuel pump by supplying it 12 volts and seeing if it works?

Have you swamped another ECU and seeing if that changes anything?

i had the same problem...you might check the fuel pump controller....what i ended up doing was hardwiring the fuel pump with a remote wire to the ignition bc i couldnt find a FPC from a junkyard

ignition switch installed properly, and fuel pump is working when connected to 12V. Haven't swaped ECU.

I found this in the FSM AKA Service Manual:

I am not very familiar with J30's so that's the best i can do as far as pics go.

But before you installed the Ignition switch did the fuel pump work?

If so was there any whining noise from it? (when the car was running could you hear it)

When you gave it 12 volts did it sound very loud when it was working?

thanks for pic, I will check on it.

Before I change ignition switch it worked, and about for five minutes with new ignition switch.

And I don't know how loud is normal for fuel pump, since this is my first time having to deal with fuel pump.

What changed after that 5 min of the ignition switch install?

Did a wire come loose after 5 min on the ignition?

Try wiggling the wires to the ignition to see if there is a bad connection.

Normally you should only hear the pump if you have the black wall off, other than that the pump shouldn't be to loud.
