Alright, I just recently finished my swap. I've got spark and I know the fuel pump was good as it was my daily. So I cranked it over a few times, nothing... Alright, so I started the diagnosis. Made sure there was spark which there was, checked/listened for fuel pump turning on. Well, I really couldn't hear it prime as the Defi oil press. gauge has a nice annoying warning sound when there is no pressure. I figured this might be the problem, pulled a sparkk plug and well they aren't wet. Ok, next step, find the fuel pump wire out of the ECU and put a volt meter on it. I got nothing, no voltage what so ever coming from the ECU. Everything is plugged in, and has good connections. I'm thinking its my ECU but, I don't want to totally rule anything out. If anyone has any ideas please share, I'd be truely greatful. Thanks in advance.

BTW, this is an S14 sr20det swap 93-96 Zenki...

The ECU dosen't put out any voltage on that wire. The voltage comes from the fuel pump relay. The ECU grounds out that wire which in turn switches the fuel pump relay over and powers the pump. When the ECU isn't grounding that wire, you should have 12V's. Either your wiring is wrong(check the plugs by the battery tray), or something is wrong with the fuel pump relay.

i had this problem once too.turned out to be one of those plugs by the battery tray you have to rewire for the swap.must of been a loose connection.check that.

EnthusiastMan- The ECU does send 12v from that wire. I talked to Yuri at wiringspecialties, he said, "There should be 12v when the key is switched to the on position."

Boost_creep- My harness was done by Yuri at wiringspecialties, so I don't believe there is a problem there. I'll check to make sure that everything is tight, but I don't believe I need to do anything with the plug.

Update...

So I called Yuri and was talking with him for a bit. I found the Fuel pump relay(which happens to be in the driver's side footwell behind the plastic). I pulled it out and jumpered the black/white wire which is a switched 12v source, with the black/yellow which is power supply to the pump. When I did this and turned the key on you could hear the pump running. I shut it down, plugged my ECU back in and tried starting the car. Well the car started and ran. Only thing I can determine is that the circuit in the ECU for the fuel pump is bad.... So until I get a new ECU the car will sit...

Well, I found the problem. I was on the phone yet again with Yury trying to figure this thing out. We got to talking about the interface plug (one that plugs into the body) and started checking the fuel pump circuit. Come to find out he had pinned the fuel pump wire into the wrong slot. It was in the 4th hole down on the right side and needed to be in the 3rd. So I pinned it out, put it in it's new home and like taco bell I was good to go...

To add to this thread, you also have the option to hard wire your fuel pump to a relay and a switch. I actually wired my fuel pump directly to my battery and noticed an improvement on how smooth the engine ran.

Did you do a write-up on that? It would make for a good article if it hasn't already been done. I would probably just do that myself as my SR cranks, but apparently is not getting fuel.

Deatschewerks (spellling?) sells a hardwire kit for like $30. I have also heard that you can piece together your own kit for like $3.

more like $10, although, it takes stuff that is generally just laying around.
