battery to car. im gonna check all fuses this morning cuz my car is over at my friends house. how do you check a relay ?240_SeX wrote:Have you checked all fuses? If all you did was drop the tool on the batt it should just blow a fuse. did the too touch the car or just the two batt terminals
there is no power going to my fuel pump period. im gonna go try and switch out the suspected relays for other one in the car. ill let you knwo what happens240_SeX wrote: That could be an issue, that kind of amperage can do some serious damage, make sure to check all fuseable links as well. relay testing depends on the relay, the eaisest way it to listen for it to click when its powered up. If ther eis no clicking test for power and check resistance across certin terminals on the relay. or you an always swap out the suspect relay with a known good relay that is the same
i bought another ecu and no such luck. but ill check the wiring to pin 36. thank yousilver236 wrote:I've had the same problem before with my SR but the thing is I didn't drop anything on the battery to cause sparks. The problem was my ECU. It happened when I was installing the Z32 MAF. I kept messing with wiring trying to get it to start but shortly after, the fuel pump wouldn't even come on. So I went ahead and opened up my ECU and found a problem....lifted track on pin 36. In short, make sure you check your ECU. I believe it is something electrical, check the fuses too as well.
i dont have power coming to the fuel pump, and i also have no sparkduffman1278 wrote:Check the wiring. Make sure you're getting 12V where the relay box is. There's a thick white wire, I don't remember if theirs 2 or 1 but make sure you have 12V, there. Also check for voltage at the fuel pump and check the wiring to the fuel pump.
so a that can cause both spark and fuel to be out ? thats all im checking for todayduffman1278 wrote:Sounds like you've got a loose wire somewhere. Check for continuity or just follow the wires and see if anythings loose. Or possibly a disconnected ground.
