has anyone had a reason to check the fuel pump control module or the resistor , if so what s the resistor value?

i found it , 1.2ohms.. my car wont start. mechanic said it was the security sys, but the car cranks. i checked the FSM and the theft relay affects the starter not the fuel pump. i replaced the coolant temp sensor. this has been happening intermittently . but now it just stuck.. i was planning on starting on pump relay and working my way to the pump

From what I understand the fuel pump resistor is to limit noise at idle and part throttle, the computer commands full fuel pressure (12v)for startup and moderate to full throttle then goes to the resistor circuit (~8v) for anything less, last time I fiddled around with that it seemed to work even with the module disconnected although in the 8v mode.

Thanks. I have the car in the shop. Can't leave the car on the streets of NYC. I keep on checking.

nah the car was failing to start intermittently .. i replaced the sender unit and fuel pump.. i still cannot get fuel to the the front of the car . i get 6v at the pump when the key in in the start on position for 5 sec. . i know i should be getting 12 v... maybe i will get a new battery.. Does anyone has any ideas.. the mechanic want s to have the ECM reprogramed. i know that not the problem

Does the engine crank? If so there is enough power to run the fuel pump... and time for a different mechanic, programming the computer is way the wrong direction.

I got it repaired. He swapped the fuel line in the front. The line from the filter when to the the return fuel line. I feel he was setting me up to make more money..

Great news
No idea what was going on there but in his defense it is a easy mistake to make and not easy to figure out what the heck just went wrong.
