Probably, if gas actually does come into contact with it. O-rings and gaskets that come in contact with fuel are chemically treated to prevent them from breaking down. If gas actually does come into contact with your gasket maker, it will probably over time break it down. I would only use that as a temporary fix and order the proper new tank seal from Nissan. They aren't that much, and I believe the part number is somewhere in the Walbro Pump Install writeup.sxcoupe wrote: my ? is will this stuff break down becouse it is in contact with gas or what. please any info would be great.
