have been thinking I need to change the fuel pump in my 90 240sx since I am experiencing poor performance, gas milage and the car is just running really bad! I have replaced the plugs, cap and rotor and nothing doing!

I think I found the access panel in the trunk to get to the pump but would like some clarification as to whether that is it or not. What I am talking about is to the right of the spare tire, a gray plate with 4 screws/bolts with some black tape covering what looks like wires leading to another small covered hole. Is this access to the pump?

Thanks for any information!

Yeah--sorry, forgot to mention that! Also, since we are talking about my screwed up fuel system, is there anywhere I can get injectors and a fuel pump in good shape cheap? Does the fuel pump and sending unit come in one piece? And is there any way I can find the wiring harness for the injectors?

RC engineering, they clean and balance injectors for about 25 bucks, as for the fuel pump hit a junkyard and find one out a newer 240, but get it out of a car that has gas in the tank, I have been told that pumps dont last that long if they dry out.

RC Engineering sounds good but I need my car everyday and have no other means of transport! Sounds like I would have to send the parts to them to refurbish. Thanks for the suggestions though. I will look around for a fuel pump.

When you grab a pump from a junkyard grab the injectors too, send them off.

Crap--I should've thought of that! A little brain dead over this whole ordeal! Been one hell of a week with nightmares of fuel spraying out all over the place from the injectors due to a bad o-ring!! Anyway, great idea!! Thanks!

must be all the fuel fumes from trying to chase down the problem. Just a thought, did you reset your computer yet? It retains the error codes until you do this and will continue to run as before. Disconnect the battery for about thirty minutes and hook it back up, see if the problem goes away.
