fuel pump install

never had to do a fuel pump on a 240 before and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a access panel under the seat or in the trunk area or do I need to drop the tank?

There's an access panel in the trunk, under the carpet. 4 bolts to take off the panel, couple bolts for the pump assembly itself, and it pulls straight out. Watch out for dirt on the outside of the tank.

once you get that panel off unscrew that thing, you will have to reach your arm down inside the tank and find the pump, and pull it out. its connected to a long mettle mount that slides in. just yank it out.
