fuel pump doesnt stop priming, RUNNING LEAN!

ok turn the key to the start pos. fuel pump(walbro) primes...but doesnt stop , if i leave the key on itll prime till the battery dies..and to top it off its running lean , like really lean.when i pinch the return line it blows the fuel pump fuse, any ideas?

89 240sx , rb20det swap , stock turbo, 9psi, stock timing thanks for any help in advance

They are noisy, and they run when ignition is one, but should stop flowing...... Sounds like a regulator or leak issue.

cuz i remember reading that the pump will not stop running if you dont have a relay for the pump

its a safety precaution if you would be in a wreck the pump would stop pumping if the car shuts off

or something like that?

i think its a voltage problem to the fuel pump. exact same thing happened to us because the pump was only getting 1 volt lol.
