Post

ok first off my stock fuel pump is slowly dying, already tested it and know its a fact.second i have a 1990 240 with a stock kae

ok now i have two options stock or walbro

first off it is a stock kae but i do plan on "building it up"

i believe i read in a post (that i now cant find but will continue to search) that a walbro will make a stock motor run rich due to putting out more pressure and therefore more fuel to your motor. and to fix this problem you need a fpr.

now if this is the case then im definetly going to go with a stock fp. but it would be nice to get an upgraded one for cheap now and not later.

basically tell me what you think and anyone running a walbro on a stock ka (e or de) let me know how it runs plz. thx.

Well I believe the other guys on the forum told me that it is not the fuel pump providing too much pressure, but the stock fpr failing to hold/regulate pressure -> i.e. if you are running rich, the stock fpr is bad.

fuel is important, make sure you get a good condition one (stock or walbro) if you buy used.
