fuel pump control unit wiring a bypass-95 Q45

My fuel pump (95 Q45) was humming-then it died. I replaced it but the car still won't start. I took out the control unit and it looks like one of the prongs on the harness connecter is burned (it is brown at the white plastic). Is there a way to wire a bypass so I can drive it before I find a replacement unit? I saw a picture of a 3 way switch-but couldn't see how it was wired. Is there a way to wire the actual unit with a bypass?Thanks
